Ta cu mountain is one of the highest mountains in Binh Thuan Province - 649 meters From the top of the mountain, there is a spectacular view of the dragon fruit farms and rice paddies below. In the 1870s and 1880s, a Buddhist month named Tran Huu Duc led a group of Buddhist faithful in the construction of the Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda. After his death in 1887, a group of his followers built the lower Long Doan Pagoda. Then in 1958, a man named Truong Dinh Tri began construction of the 49 meter-long, seven meter-high reclining Buddha, as well as three additional smaller Buddha statues. There is a cave near the statues which has been named the Forefathers Cave. At the bottom of the cave is a small stream, which disappears into the cave floor. It is inside this cave that Tran Huu Duc spent much of his life time in meditation.

The tour that showed us the bury of this region

Great way to get to know region, highly recommended. Guide was very kind and knowledgeable. Even got some great tips on where to eat if you want to eat the best local Vietnamese food instead of a burger at a resort (which can be a bit of a challenge to find for non-Vietnamese speaking tourists).

All in all, 100% recommend for any non-native speakers looking to explore region.

    Nice tour!

The area around the cable car station is set up quite nicely but is made up for tourists.

We’ve been taking the cable car up to the Buddha statues. There are two temples with nice views and of course the lying Buddha, which is impressive in its size.

Our tour guide Ly was very nice and friendly !

All in all a nice day trip. Highly recommended.

    Great panoramic views
Beautiful ride up to the mountain, speculation views and very high cable car, then a steep drop over to the Pagoda.
Great panoramic views from the top of the first steps and well worth the effort to climb them.
I highly recommend a visit to this mountain.

    Impressive Budda!
We loved this day trip, the big Budda is powerful to see!
    Massive and bright white.
It is quite a lot of stairs to climb though, which could be tough for an elderly or disabeld person. The view is fantastic from the top of the mountain!
You should definitely visit! Thanks Johnny Tours !!

    Thanks Johnny Tours

Wow! If you want to see how Buddha is entering nirvana, you are welcome. The statue is high in the mountains, and you can take a cable car or climb the loooooong ladder. But in the end you will see Buddha, and will probablylike to stay near him for long to understand how he can smile so peacefully. There is a little pagoda on the right which is nice place to visit as well. It is absolutely quiet there. I almost eneterd nirvana myself. Thanks Johnny Tours !!!

This is a great choice in Mu Nei. You can get close to nature, enjoy some meditation time under the giant reclining Buddha, and enjoy the nice scenery on the cable car. Good for young kids also as I brought my 2 year old, and its a good exercise and experience for her! Thanks to Johnny Tours to arrange the trip for us !
