Mui Ne: Ta Cu Mountain Half A Day Private Tour with Local Guide

Tour Overview

Ta cu mountain is one of the highest mountains in Binh Thuan Province - 649 meters from the top of the mountain, there is a spectacular view of the dragon fruit farms and rice paddies below. In the 1870s and 1880s, a Buddhist monk named Tran Huu Duc led a group of Buddhist faithful in the construction of the Linh Son Truong Tho Pagoda. After his death in 1887, a group of his followers built the lower Long Doan Pagoda. Then in 1958, a man named Truong Dinh Tri began construction of the 49 meter-long, 7 meter-high reclining Buddha, as well as three additional smaller Buddha statues. There is a cave near the statues which has been named the Forefathers Cave. At the bottom of the cave is a small stream, which disappears into the cave floor. It is inside this cave that Tran Huu Duc spent much of his life time in meditation.

    A Perfect Tour Experience!!

The Tà Cú tour was a peaceful getaway from the city, offering fresh air and beautiful scenery. The reclining Buddha statue was larger than we imagined—very impressive and serene! We also stopped at the Van Thuy Tu Temple, where we saw the skeleton of a giant whale and learned about the fishing culture and beliefs of the local people. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped us understand the deeper meaning behind each place. A truly meaningful experience!

Adventures in Nature and History !!

Visit the Poshanu Cham Towers, an ancient relic from the Cham Kingdom nestled on a breezy hilltop . These towers showcase distinctive Hindu architecture, and our guide will share fascinating insights into Cham history and spiritual traditions. Next, explore Van Thuy Tu Temple, a meaningful cultural site where you’ll discover how local fishermen worship whales as protectors of the sea. We also visited Tà Cú Mountain, where the highlight is the 49-meter-long reclining Buddha statue, nestled in the serene mountain landscape . Great value and highly recommended for anyone interested in discovering the rich culture, history, and natural beauty of the Phan Thiết region.
